St. Patrick’s School is an English medium co-educational school managed by the Pune Diocesan Educational Society under the Bishop of Pune. It is recognised and aided by the Government of Maharashtra.

St. Patrick’s school is a Christian Minority Institute and preference in admission to the school will be given to Catholic students. Admissions will however be open to children of other communities without distinction of caste or creed.

The aim of the school is to bring about an all-round development of the child, so as to form students with integrated personalities.

Our school motto is “LEARN WITH LOVE”. It is love, kindness, understanding and sacrifice imbibed in our students that makes St. Patrick’s a unique place where students from all strata of society achieve their goals.

All students are taught through the medium of English. Marathi is taught from Std II and Hindi from Std IV.

 

ADMISSIONS AND WITHDRAWLS:
  • A pupil who has not attended any school whatsoever, or one who comes from a private school, must produce an official Birth Certificate such as Municipal, Cantonment, Panchayat or Baptismal Certificate in support of the date of birth entered in the admission form.
  • If a pupil comes from a school outside the state of Maharashtra the Leaving Certificate must be countersigned by the Education Officer of the State from which the pupil comes.
  • No child younger than 5 years and older than 6 years is admitted into the First standard, and corresponding scale of ages is fixed for the subsequent standards.
  • Except for children who seek admission to standard I, all the others must produce a Transfer Certificate from the previous recognised school.
  • The Leaving Certificate of a pupil joining from the school outside Maharashtra state must be countersigned by the Education Inspector of the District in which the previous school is situated.
  • No Leaving Certificate will be issued unless applied for in person or by the guardian in writing and after all dues have been paid. Fees are due so long as no note of withdrawal is given and pupil name has been in the rolls. Usually a month’s notice is required. If the Leaving Certificate is not asked for within a year, a fee of Rs 10/- is charged for the name as for a duplicate certificate.

 

GENERAL DISCIPLINE:
  • Both parents and pupils should keep in mind the following principals of discipline laid down in the secondary School Code Section VIII Rule 56:

    “Pupils should realise that they are responsible to the school authorities not only for their conduct in school but also their general behaviour outside. Any reported or observed objectionable conduct outside the school, on the part of the pupil should make them liable for disciplinary action.

    Parents or guardian are given to understand that they cannot dictate to the management and that the management have the right to say on what conditions they will admit or retain pupils in their school.”

  • Regular attendance and study habits, prompt obedience, courtesy in speech and conduct, cleanliness of dress and person are expected from every pupil.
  • Hence, irregular attendance, habitual idleness, unsatisfactory application to studies, disobedience, objectionable moral influence and unsatisfactory conduct, in and out of school, justify dismissal of a boy/girl.
  • No child may leave the school premises without the permission of the Principal. During the lunch hour break only those going home for lunch may leave the school.
  • Pupils should be particularly careful not to throw any papers, seeds etc. anywhere in the school premises. They should use baskets and bins especially provided for this purpose.
  • No child will be excused from games and drill unless a medical certificate is produced. These pupils availing themselves of this exemption must follow the instructions of the P. T. Master.
  • Order and silence are to be kept when going from one class to another.
  • Pupils are expected to make good any damage to building furniture and library books. If the school undertakes the repairs, the parents will be charged for the same. The school is not responsible for books, money and other articles that are lost.
  • All pupils must possess a copy of the school Calendar which is to be brought to class on all school days. A pupil who loses his/her school calendar will have to buy a new one.
